Jonathan Lester, M.D. is a board certified physiatrist specializing in the rehabilitation and non-surgical management of complex spinal disorders and musculoskeletal pain.
Dr. Lester is a graduate of the University of Florida where he received a bachelors degree in Chemistry and was elected to receive Phi Beta Kappa honors. He also received his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine. He completed a four year residency program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio and served for one year as Chief Resident.
Following completion of formal residency training, Dr. Lester pursued his interest in painful spinal disorders through additional training courses, educational programs, and clinical research, and obtained sub-specialty board certification in pain management through the American Board of Anesthesia and the American Academy of Pain Medicine.
Through an active career of patient care, publishing, delivering regional and national lectures, and participation in national and international scientific meetings and educational programs, Dr. Lester has stayed at the forefront of the rapidly expanding field of interventional and medical pain management. Utilizing a comprehensive approach of medications, physical therapy for spinal restoration, and minimally invasive spinal interventional procedures, Dr. Lester is able to achieve a high degree of success diagnosing and treating many complex spinal and pain disorders, or assist in planning the surgical treatment of these disorders.
Dr. Lester has been practicing in New Jersey for twelve years and is an active member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the International Spinal Intervention Society, the American Academy of Pain Medicine, and the New Jersey Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
